Dear All,

Bob Dally just got a feature article in Car Craft. Here is the e-version, and I expect it will appear in print soon!

http://www.hotrod.com/features/1511-bob ... eed-racer/

We are schedule to go back this August to bump up the F/CPRO record, then hopefully Bob will go back in October with a turbo 170 motor.

Slant on,

Lou

I guess the author is technically correct, it is the A833OD that came stock behind the slant six. But wow what a car!

I love Barracudas, even though my wife's ex-boyfriend had one (until I trounced him with my 70 Chevelle SS).

Regular 833s went in Darts and starting around 64 too, but hey, they can't get everything right...

"Roadkill" posted it to Facebook as well. It's an awesome car!

So is it the A833-OD or the older, closer gear ratio A833?

The author obviously is unaware that in 1964 and 1965 that the A833 was available behind the slant six. Bob emailed me about the article and I saw that mistake right away. It also appears that the photographer liked the way I bent the tubes for the fuel cell and proportioning valve. I mounted the fuel cell and plumbed it to the pump, filter and regulator before I sold the car to Bob. I finished the brakes and suspension too. The dash panel and steering wheel quick release are also my handiwork.

Seeing the car completed is nice. It had me thinking about my 1954 Dodge pickup and looking at SCTA-BNI classes last night. E/PP would probably work with a 241 hemi bored to 259". The 241 was bored all the way to 270 so 259 should be no problem.
