Oregon cam grinders has been great to work with and I have never heard of a single problem. I am sending out a cam for regrind this week and will wrap it in cardboard and slide it in a piece of 2" PVC pipe. Pretty much no chance of damage that way.

How close to new (condition) is it?

The cam was in the Hooptie for three easy years, driven by a grandpa only a couple thousand miles.
At WOT, 1/4 mile at a time. :D :D :D

It has a clean wear pattern without any evidence of damage. The lifters looked like the day they were installed. It was stored oiled in an OCG cam box until we stuffed it into Bobby's engine. I'd say its a good candidate for checking, at the very least.

Trying to "Bring home the Bacon" is a legitimate "Grocery Run", isn't it?

Since nobody seems to like my posts and delete them. Nor does anybody care about my own personal safety of my new cam, maybe you'd be interested in some grind info off the cam card??????????????

IO- 27* BTDC
IC- 59* ABDC
EO- 59* BBDC
EC- 11* ATDC
Running Valve Degrees of
Clearance Lift Duration
.015 .435 266
.015 .422 250

The following info is to be used for degreeing the cam only!
IO 3* BTDC
IC 35* ABDC
EO 40* BBDC
EC 8* ATDC
Gross Lift at Cam Degrees of Dur. @ .050"
Intake .290 218
Exhaust .295 212

Hope this helps? You can thank me later.

So I'm confused. That cam came from Erson? Is it the Dutra RV15 grind? Is it Erson's own RV15? Or is it something else altogether?

Dutra designed it with the help of Erson, I think he did both? And it seems someone here wants to resurrect it and get like another group buy or something, who knows? The title of this topic has changed in the last day or so, why? I don't know.

Thread started as resurrection of older thread.

Thread was split into original thread and this thread.

I am reading this thread with interest, and am willing to contribute to the RV 15 if one can be found to get the baseline measurements.

Just curious. An RV15-RDP might be good for my truck.

Will Erson be the cam shop to contact or will it be done by another cam grinder?
