Hello everybody. This is my first post here. I want to introduce myself and my car: a matching numbers 1970 slant six Barracuda Convertible. The car belongs to my family since the year it was built. After being used just two months a year during 32 years (you can believe when I say that the car has real 22.000 kms use) it was keeped in a garaje for the next 10 years... until the day I got it. From this day on I started a complete restoration to keep it as it was bought. I had the luck to find that everything was (and is) 100% original... and I want to keep it like that. As soon as I learn how to post pictures, I will include some. The car was brought to Spain (I am spanish) in 1970 and is still there. As many of these car were used as base to build Hemis...I really wonder how many of them are still on the road. Mine is also a Little bit special as it was built as "export" (that´s why I talk about kms. and not miles).
I hope to learn a lot here. [/img]

(edited) I just saw how to post pictures... I don´t have them at any public server...so if the car has some interest for some of you I will try to find a way... but here it is a video... https://youtu.be/4iranX67IFo

Interesting. Is that a hood-mounted tach over on the right side? And the hood scope is "foreign" to the U.S. market, as I recall. Maybe an export only accessory?

Beautiful car!.......will you restore it to the original color of white? If I am correct the original color appears white. Also I like the fact that it's a manual transmission. Yes it is a lot more interesting with it's original engine. The legendary Slant 6!

If it was built for export, it might well have a 2-barrel carburetor from the factory—that became available for export starting in '67, but not for USA/Canada until about a decade later.

Well, the only other difference me found was at the alternator; according to the info I had, the car should bring the standrard one (3483172) but it brings the 3438171 which was not supossed to be mounted in a slant six model... but then we found out at the broadcast sheet that it was already build with the one it brings, so it is original and probably another difference with the US and Canada models.

Hi Roger, yes it was a Hood-mounted tach, but is already out of there as the objective is to bring it to the original condition; the Hood scope didn´t came with the car and it is also no more there :)

Thank you for your warm welcome! May I ask how did you knew it was originally White? Yes, the car is at the moment being painted in Alpine White colour

Yes, I watched the video and found the other videos that you posted on youtube. The white is obvious in the engine compartment and trunk areas. It will be very beautiful in the original white for sure.
