So I decided to add a little forced induction to my slant.
Loved reading tons of the other members builds, and found it extremely helpful for my build.
So hopefully this build will also be able to help others in their decision.
I started off with finding a Holset HX35 that was rebuilt for this build.
And Im using a super six intake, that for some reason took me awhile to find.
I decided to build my own exhaust flange, so its much thicker than the stock one to avoid warping that seemed to happen to the one that was on there.
I then hole sawed 2.5" hole and tapped.
Purchased a 2.5" J pipe, trial and error to find out what angle I needed to cut the Pipe for proper fit.
Forgot to take a pic, but I cut out a piece of cardboard with a 2.5" hole cut.
Fit it over the pipe thats sticking up for the turbo side, while mounted in the car. And roughly found what was level and correct position for the turbo flange. Marked it and cut.
All said and done, this is what came out.
When mounted in car, this is about where it ends up.
I ended up having to cut some of the battery tray for the turbo to clear it. Depends on what I end up doing for an Intercooler or not, I may just remove battery and locate in trunk.
Next up was building the downpipe.
I wanted to go 3", so I purchased a 2.5" v-band to 3" adaptor, along with 3" pipe from local muffler shop.
I cut wedges at 10* each, for making bends, tack welded, then removed to weld up. It took tons of time to get each angle the way I wanted it. But am happy the way it turned out. It will all get heat wrapped when its all done.
I decided to run an external Wastegate, so next was addd that to the piping.
I found a great site to help calculate the angle to cut and join pipe together if you dont have the proper jig laying around. worked perfect for what I needed.

Now where I'm presently at!
