The 273 V8 was the base V8 engine in 1967 Valiants, Barracudas, Darts, Belvederes and Coronets.

The LA block 318 was the base V8 engine on American-built 1967 Fury models, optional on Belvederes and Coronets, and not available on Valiants, Barracudas, and Darts. If a 1967 A-body has a 318, it is not factory.

Canadian-built Fury, Polara and Monaco models used the poly 318 one last time in 1967.

LA 318's were introduced to the A-bodies in 68 basicly replacing the 273.
