Hey, hoping someone has an answer to this!

I was looking at the wiring to my ballast resister and noticed it was different than the ignition circuit drawings in the FSM. When I looked at the wiring diagram and connector diagram in the FSM it was correct.

It looks like this, Ignition Circuit Diagrams:

LH TOP Term.
J2D LBL/Y*
J2C DBL

LH Bottom Term.
J2C DBL
J2B DBL

RH Top Term.
J4 GN/R*

RH Bottom Term.
J3 BR

Wiring and Connectors Diagram:
(and actual on car wiring)

LH TOP Term.
J2B DBL
J2C DBL

LH Bottom Term.
J2C DBL
J2D LBL/Y*

RH Top Term.
J4 GN/R*

RH Bottom Term.
J3 BR

Right now to me it looks like the ignition diagram makes more sense because J2B (alt. run) and J3 (ign.) should be on the .5 ohm path (I think?) also, J2D (ecm. connector 1) and J4 (ecm. connector 3) on the 5 ohm aux. path of the ballast resister.

:? This may or may not be one of my gremlins!

Thanks,
74

Okay! Let me try it this way.

Does the dark blue wire go on top or on the bottom terminal?

Thanks for any help,
74

Okay, while I was waiting to hear from someone I checked out a new wiring harness on line and got my answer.

The blue alt. wire goes on the top term. (I couldn't go by the connector because mine was all busted up!)

Thanks,
74
