the throttle cable and 904 kick down cable are installed.
for the throttle, the OE Vortec TB has a cable bracket that caught my eye, in the OE application the bracket holds the throttle cable and a cruse control cable.
I shortened the OE Vortec throttle cable considerably, had to add a 4 inch extension to the 68 Barracuda gas pedal arm to match the pedal travel to the TB blade opening ratio,, that took one port on the OE bracket
Installed a Lokar kick down cable into the second bracket port,, added a short actuator arm to the TB cable spool to make the attachment.

the injectors, rail, regulator are installed,
removed the stock fuel tank and began preping the Tanks Inc fuel tank.
On the list for this Saturday is installing the new tank, running lines from the tank to rail.

the throttle body blade is 72 mm across

it is off a 2002 Chevy Trail Blazer

installed the fuel tank today,,

went with the Tanks Inc unit,,

long way from the pull a part and salvage yard parts that I normally work with,,,

* pump is a made in USA Walbro unit
* level sendor checked to within factory ohm's for full and empty
* finish and fit of the tank and components were without issue.
* buy through Summit, get free shipping

pricy part, but I don't see myself being able to modify a stock tank to this level of FI readiness without a lot of effort:
* internal full length E to W baffel to minimize front to rear slosh
* about a 6 x 6 x 4 internal cup for the in tank pump to set in,, appears that it would be very effective in keeping fuel up and around the pump.

the gauge that shows red on the lap top is the AF gauge, that matches the reading on the AEM AF gauge that I already had installed.
Apparently the initial setting in the MS unit is plenty rich.

plenty of blow by at the oil fill, as I had not yet hooked up the PCV hose,
and that is the OE 68 motor, OE pistons, rings, bearings..

next step is figuring out how read the data logs and actually tune this thing..

I did not think a gas motor would start at 20:1, let alone idle at 2000 RPM, so I guessed rich,, but do believe your interpretation of the gauge is correct.

I have some free time tomorrow AM,, will check it out closer,

I had a just a few minutes of free time today, went to the garage, powered up the MS, turned the key and it started,,,,

You could be reading 20:1 because it is super rich and misfiring too. AFR gauges can lie to you this way. Been there... You can search around using reqfuel adjustments first to get the idle to be smooth and then go from there. I have seen several instances where relying on the AFR gauge can get you WAY off from the right mixture, due to misfiring.
