That is what the above quote was for. It might could be 12 or 13" but 20 will be too long.

Back in the day after cars got a little older it was common to cut that nylon tie strap. And let cable hang down in half loop . Did this myself a few times. Full loop would as it wore would bind up .By late 1980s those tie straps would have been cut or failed from engine heat and vibration.

I looked at a 81-83 Dodge truck and van parts manual to see if there were pictures of the throttle cables. The parts manual shows V-8 throttle cables being routed with loops, but not the slant six throttle cable, even on the BBD models.

I cna tell you that right now on my 76 D100 I am running the original one barrel throttle cable with a tight loop in it to shorten it up to work with the Super Six setup. There is no way to make the cable reach the carb and still function without a loop.

If I do not find the correct cable I will get one off a mini van that is very long and make a nice wide loop instead of the tight one.

I'm pretty sure this is a BBD throttle cable. Either that or it's the early A V-8 cable. They were nearly identical, and I think I used the early cable when I installed the early V-8 pedal and my super 6.

That looks to be correct to me. Now where to get them?
