After 20 years of running the Lancer on various forms of alcohol we tried gasoline today.

The Lancer ran 11:69 @ 109.89 first pass ever on gas.

Then went 11:33 @ 114.18

Then went 1?.?? @ 1??.??.

That's @ 2470 lbs.

Should be ready for Mo-Kan!

We bought fuel at the track today and the fuel guy said to keep the lid tight on the fuel jug. Being new to gas we are not sure what that means.

Mark

Looks great Mark! :D

If you leave the lid loose the solvents can evaporate and reduce the potency of the fuel. It can also draw moisture, but not nearly as bad if there is no alky in it. :)

Exciting times, team green!

Great, that looks like B and C Gas record territory to me :-)

With mark and ryan getting their cars together you have a shot!

Maybe the fuel guy means that your gas will float away into the atmosphere if you dont keep the cap on tight?

What is your compression ratio?

You wight is with driver? if so you about 90# heavier than me.

Greg

I had the weight wrong at 2440 lb. It's 2470 with driver.

We went to Starlite fuel lines and dropped 1.4 lb. Not 31.4 lbs.

Thanks encouraging words and the explanation on the tight fuel jug cap.

Around 11.2 on compression after installing the stock stroke crank. It's the reason we are trying gasoline before we change things.

Hope by the Tulsa race to have new pistons and cam installed, then lookout.

Mark

That is really exciting Mark. I don't think I have ever heard a sweeter sounding Slant 6 shifting through the gears!

Won't you come to Mason Dixon in May?? Please??
