Anyone out there know what each of the wires do that go from the wiper switch to the wiper motor on a 1970 D100 Truck? My switch is pretty messed up and the aftermarket ones are pretty reasonable. But you have to know what each of the wires do. I have the wiring diagram, but that doesn't tell you what the wires do.

The wire colors are:

Large Light Blue from harness = presumed to be the main power.

Red = ?

Dark Blue = ?

Green = ?

Brown = ?

2 speed, 3 speed, and variable. The wiring of the switch will likely be dependent upon the particular motor in your vehicle.

Also, if your wiper switch is out, look for a part number on it. That number may cross to a newer switch for the motor you have.
