my slant i bought has these codes on the front and rear pad 6F 1073^2 90 6225 R 2 9 1 0 XAND MALTESE CROSS what does all this mean i know the engine has never been opened until me judging by the gaskets

The Maltese cross and X means .010" undersize main bearings. I don't have the booklet handy to decode the 10,000 day calendar to tell you when it was assembled. Obviously it's a 225.

Pay close attention to the rod and main bearing sizes if/when you get that far.

the rod bearings are dated 8-75 but just sat AT-20 below the date the mains are .010

Yep, .010" undersize main bearings. An original equipment blemished crank. Not that it's a big deal, but the blocks get marked in case parts need to be ordered. Are you still seeking more information?
