I have a 62 Valiant (Signet) and bought the Hella Screen wiper intermittent model 5WA 001 871-041 to use on my car.

The wiring instructions are complex (at least I think they are).

Would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me how to wire this unit to the Valiant.

The instructions make reference to various circuit/terminal numbers, according to standardised German designations (because of course the Germans have standardised designations for automotive circuits).
