Car starts up just fine, actually better than any slant six ive dealt with in the past, runs perfect till it warms up, once its warmed up if i come to a stop and go to take off again, it wants to die almost like its choking, and than it usually catches up with itself and everything is fine till i come to the next stop light. If when im taking off I kinda double tap the throttle it wont do the problem. I am kinda lost right now, its a 68 plymouth valiant 225 slant six. Any help would be appreciated.

My first guess would be a lean-out stumble...(maybe that is not the correct term for such)

I would check to see if the accelerator pump is giving a good shot of fuel into the carb AS you open the throttle....otherwise the fuel ratio will go lean for an instant and you get the stumble...

(with the engine off, air cleaner removed and looking down the carb to see if there is a shot of fuel going into the venturi AS you open the throttle. If it is slow, then the accelerator pump spring may be weak or the accelerator pump linkage may need to be adjusted for a larger shot of fuel)

If its not idling well there may be a vacuum l leak, crud in the idle circuit, valves could be out of adjustment. I had one where the exhaust valves were at .010" rather than .020" and cold it was fine, but hot idle was bad.

X2 for adjusting valves and looking for vacuum leaks FIRST.

I used to have a '70 Valiant slant six, completely stock, and it always fell on it's face at stop lights when I hit the gas too fast. This was in the early '80's and the car was only 14 years old and had 65K miles on it. Otherwise it was dependable as hell and ran well. I just assumed stock slants were slugs that way.

My Dart ran like that when I first had it. It turned out the ignition timing was retarded 10 degrees behind specs. Fixing that solved the bog-down on acceleration.
