I rebuit this carb about a year ago. Still starts and runs fine but even after a minute of running and shutting it off it floods. I have put a holley 1920 on that I have and it doesnt do this. I have also put a new fuel pump on. Could my flota be mis ajusted? Needle not seating? Possibly too much fuel pressure and its pushing past? Any help appreciated

Yup, most likely. Probably a little crud keeping it form seating.

Well I took it apart last night and my new brass float had taken in some fuel on the one side. I ordered a new plastic float and shiuld be here by the end of the week.

I would stick with the brass one if you know how to solder. Drill a small hole to let out the fuel. Then if you have an air compressor spray it in the hole with soapy water to see where the leak is. After that solder both holes up.

Why stick with the brass? And yes I can so I guess I should fix it.

I would stick with brass so you could fix it if needed. Ive been in towns where I couldednt get the parts I needed without ordering them. Also I dont know how plastic floats work compared to brass. I would think brass would weigh more and act differently then plastic.

I would stick to brass but I wouldn't futz around with hole-drilling and solder-melting and other such kluges. Just go buy a new brass float.
