Is there a trick to getting these bulbs out? It looked to me like the bulb pressed in, but apparently not, since I broke it trying to remove it. Does this little ring thingy need to be unscrewed? I figured I'd ask before breaking something important.

Also, does anyone know where to get these bulbs, or what # they are?

Those didn't start out life on your '64 Valiant. First year of availability for them was '66, and then only on Barracudas (as far as A-bodies go).

It is a push-in bulb on a BA7s base. The original № 330 bulb has a plain brass base, which is why your bulb base is now corroded into the socket. Remove it by whatever means necessary (usually this means using a darning needle or similar to collapse/crush the base within the socket, then needle nose pliers to yank out the crushed base). This Narva № 17051 has a nickel-plated base that won't corrode like that again.

Awesome. Thanks Dan. The car was bumped in the front at some point. I wonder if the fenders were changed? Are the fenders the same for 64-66? The install looks factory, at least as far as the holes in the fenders go.

No, '66 fenders don't fit a '64 and—again—even in '66 they weren't available on Valiants, just Barracudas. Someone added those from scratch, unless your '64 happens to have a complete '66 front end assembly on it.

It's definitely got a 64 front end. The person that added them did a nice job. THanks again for the help.
