What size rear brakes were on a 66 Barracuda with a 273 V-8? Car has 10 fronts did the 7 1/4 rear have 9's or 10's? Thanks

Cars with 7-1/4" rear axles came with 9" or 10" brakes, front and rear, depending on the whole-vehicle specifications and/or what was ordered at new-car purchase time. Always the same diameter front and rear, never 10" fronts with 9" rears or vice versa. The V8 cars came with 10" brakes as standard equipment.

OK, Thanks. Putting my 66 Cuda back to stock, and wasn't sure which was the correct 7 1/4 rear.

The rear axle assembly isn't different for 9" vs. 10" brakes; it's just a matter of what parts are bolted onto the ends of the axle tubes.
