Seymour and I are hitting the road in 10 hrs from now. See you all Friday! We will be racing two Slanted street cars, hopefully both in the 13s...

Neal Hines got the Caltracs on my 64 Dart and some stickier tires, so hopefully better hook up at the track. He will drive it down from Seattle and we'll meet at Woodburn.

Anyone talk to Barnaby?

Lou

Last I spoke to Barnaby all funds are tied up in the business and all his time goes there too. I'll probably see him Thursday.

Barnaby and Olga just opened up a really nice tasting room for their winery on SE 11th, you guys will be running eliminations while they are open... I would suggest if you can stop by and say "Hi" to do so, they have an excellent selection of white wines, and for those "guys" that aren't into wine Barnaby does offer Ice Cold Rainier in Cans...

I will not be attending, I just finished up my rebuild and need to get the power train back together so I can work out the big block clutch conversion...maybe in August if things work out.

Bummer that you, Rob, and Barnaby and Olga, will not be able to make it. I doubt we will do any wine sipping this weekend.

Seymour and I did 850 miles today and are in Billings, MT for the night. Almost halfway. Car is running great and lives very well between 70 and 85 MPH... We should get to the track around noon Friday.

I hope we have a good turnout! Who else can we roust? Anyone with spare cars to loan out??

See you all Fri-Sun for some Slanted fun!

Lou

If I can squeeze out a few hours, I'll try and come by on Saturday. The vineyards, moving and opening the tavern has put me close to 100 hour weeks. If anyone is passing through Portland the Teutonic Tavern is at 3303 SE 20th av.

Happy Racing,
B

I'm planning on coming to Woodburn this weekend, but don't know exactly when. I have quite a few items to sell if anyone is interested in any of the following:

Lynx single DCOE manifold, 45 DCOE carburetor and air cleaner.

AussieSpeed long runner 4 bbl manifold.

Hooker long tube headers.

Holley HP 390 double pumper.

Wiseco +.045" pistons and Molnar connecting rods.

Rollmaster timing set.

1.78/1.45" stainless valves, retainers, locks and springs.

10,000 mile rebuilt 225 cast crank short block. Head and valve gear also available, but head has burned exhaust valves and sunken seats.

Recently running forged crank 225 and A904.

Small bolt pattern 14" wheels and tires.

Yep, good times in Woodburn. I had a great trip west with Seymour in his 62 Valiant, arriving Fri midday.

I hurt my 64 Dart motor (#2 and 3 mains shagged) on Fri eve. We are on the way to fixing it at Neal Hines' place in Seattle. In future, I need to check my oil before running autoX laps (Carlisle, July 2015)... We did drive the car 210 miles to Neal's w/o issue, which was nice.

Great Slanted Family interactions and a relaxing weekend...

Lou

Good luck getting your motor patched up. Hope nothing is hurt too badly. :)
