And the saga continues...

Got the adapter plate in the mail today, I bolted it on, and the Weber 38DGES is reinstalled. This time, its on a super six manifold, with intake heat. 8)
It idles nicely.

I still have to figure out the throttle cable, and kickdown.
I already have a Lokar kickdown cable, not sure if its long enough.

Onward...

See this thread for kickdown options.

Okay, update:
I ordered bracket kit from webercarbsdirect.com, and installed it.
I fabbed/hacked up various pieces from Ace Hardware that I had, and the throttle is hooked up as well as the kickdown. It runs and drives, I've taken it on several test drives on my street, and everything seems to be functioning fine.
I would like to fab up something that looks less jerry-rigged. It looks like someone's erector set exploded and landed under my hood.
All's well for now I suppose...

Another update:
I replaced the throttle cable today with a longer one, which allowed me to remove some of the bracketry and other parts. It looks much cleaner now.
So, same Weber carb on a factory manifold with manifold heat.
It seems to idle and run better than it did on the other manifold without manifold heat.
Hmm...
