I'm thinking about sticking a slant six into a 71 B-body. The motor (and trans) will be coming from an 82 D150. I am unsure about some parts fitting the b body, Like oil pan, exhaust manifold, water pump outlets, are they going to be on the right side for the radiator?

Put the oil pan, oil pickup tube, and motor mounts from the 71 onto the engine and it will slide right in.

Do you have a slant in the 71 now? If so, use the bits from it.

If you have NO motor at all in the 71, you will be hunting for the pieces I mentioned.
