I'm getting a shopping list together for a slant rebuild, and I'm wondering if it is possible to use the Chrysler non-turbo 2.2 pistons instead of the dished turbo pistons? Reason I ask is that I have ready access to them at the moment.

You will need to look at the specs of the pistons Doc has and the ones you have access for and compare...a while back I had an option like this and found that the pistons in question had an offset at the pin, so that soured that deal...(and luckily I was able to secure a set of silvolites for a fair price later).

Thanks. I may have to just go with stock pistons, as the 198 rods I was counting on are already sold.
