My chiltons has a 1980 single barrel 225 diagram for federal emissions...

It has a 1978 2 bbl 225 diagram for federal...but none for 1980.

When exactly were the super six engines produced? only til 1979?

Or should i follow the 1978 diagram and cap everything else left over?

...needs to go into the nearest recycle bin. You need a factory service manual. See this thread. Books like Chilton and Haynes claim to cover a range of years and models, but have about 1/4 the number of pages as the factory manual for one year and model family. That means there's a lot of info missing.

You should do this mindfully, deliberately figuring out what-all devices and systems you're keeping and which ones (if any) you're not.

Yeah I know I should have a real factory manual.

I have them on my other vehicles....havent gotten one for this one yet.

That said, the 1978 diagram seems very clear and concise.....the newer style 1980 1bbl isnt as easy to read.....if anyone has the 1980 vacuum diagram handy, Id appreciate being able to reference it....need to get this stuff sussed out.

But I have to figure that at this point we are beiling what could be a 1978........the basic componanst between the 78 2 bbl and 80 1 bbl seem to be very similar, though placement is different...for instance the CEEGR sensor is on the rad in 78, on the head in 80......
