I am going to look st a 71 dart, owner says needs a switch. So is there a video to see or is it pretty simple to just give directions? Never did this before. And if the price is right I will fix the car and drive it home.

A lot of the time it's just the connector that joins the switch to the car harness. Give it a good jiggle.

If the rest of the car gets power (signals, radio, etc) but doesn't crank put the switch in the run position and use a screwdriver to bridge the two large terminals of the relay to crank it. You may get lucky. Be careful the screwdriver doesn't touch any other metal (ground). The two starter terminals will work also for this.
