Just rebuilt a Bendix-Stromberg ww3-273. It's somewhat similar to the Carter BBD, however it does not have the same vacuum port on the right side for the distributor vacuum advance.
This is for a 1973 225ci with the super six conversion, so can I use one of the vacuum ports off the intake manifold instead? :?:

No that would provide somewhat constant vacuum, the distributor needs to see ported vacuum from the carb (from an orifice just above the throttle plates), that way it can sense the load on the engine and the vacuum based upon throttle plate position....)

Your Stromberg WW3 does too have a vacuum advance port. It's above the PCV port and below the choke pull-off hose.

I did take this into consideration.

OK, I did suspect this was the correct port, Thanks Dan for letting me know.

Seeing as the Bendix-Stromberg WW conversion is rare on the super Six conversion, I could let some of you know as it goes.
