When one says total, does this mean only inital + mechanical, NOT including vaccum, correct? I'm getting a bit confused when reading past posts... logically I would think total meant including vaccum....

Total is usually thought of as initial and mechanical.
Total advance does not include vacuum advance seeing the V.A. is not "pulled-in" at WOT.

Ahh, ok thanks for clearing that up.

Needed to get that straight... the instructions for the crane advance kit you posted Doug says total includes VA as well.
