I thought that they were only doing this with mopar inline 6 products because the market for them was quite slim... so in that respect I didn't blame them but now that I find out their practices also extend into their ford products as well.... bit scarry.

Matt

114 w + 47.5 n = Snowbowl?!!! My old stomping grounds!

I'm in the Bozone now but would love to hook up with another
in-liner in MT. I've got a head in MSO that I'm planning to rework
in the fall and am looking to find someone that knows slants, as this will be my first build-up. I'm headed your way today for the Easter weekend. You can PM me there at my folks: rjmal@montana.com

Just put For MTSteve in the subject so I can find it.

I have yet to receive any exhaust manifold from Clifford. Larry says"Whenever" and is rude to me on the phone.

So, if you are ordering things from this company you have not been paying attention to these posts.

Just one man's expeirence. Good luck

I cancelled my 11/22/03 outstanding order with Clifford on Friday 4/15/04. They could not deliver the exhaust header that I ordered & paid for with a company check in Novemeber, 03. I wonder how long the refund will take? I'll keep you posted.

Good news! Hooker header # 5834 will work & fit with a Clifford water heated intake. It takes some custom made spacers (washers), but otherwise it is no big deal. I just got a freshly rebuilt 225, with the Hooker header on it, running today. More info as it becomes available.

I sincerely hope this posting string serve to warn others about Clifford Performance.

I received the refund check in full from Clifford Perfomance (CP) for the oder I placed & paid for on 11/20/03. The refund check arrived on 4/29/04. The order for the 225 81 W150 truck exhaust headers was canceled on 4/15/04. The order was canceled because CP could not provide the exhaust headers in 5 months & my customer with the W150 was not going to wait another day.

The Hooker single outlet exhaust headers required slight modification and then they work well with the CP water heated intake manifold & a Edlebrock (Carter) AFB 500 CFM four barrel carb. The 81 W150 runs great without any problems.

For the record: CP makes good quality, well engineered stuff. They just can't deliver it in anything resembling a reasonable amount of time. Additionly, they are piss-poor "story" tellers when it comes to explaining the fifth or sixth two or three week delay on your parts. CP is consistant at the qualities outlined in this paragraph.

CAVEAT EMPTOR!! !

I would like to look at these dutra duals and maybe order some. I need headers for a 66 dart with a 225 and was thinking about going with clifford. But from what i see that could be a mistake. If someone could tell me where to go online to see these dutra duals i would appreciate it.

THanks.

Here is a nice set of dual Dutra manifolds to look at, Jet Hot coated for that nice street rod look.

$125.00 for coating the two manifolds, shipping was extra.
We will have to see how well the coating holds-up, sometimes they get dull looking after a while.

I'm glad you guys stepped up and warned me about Clifford's customer service!

Doug, Those Duals look sweet! Outstanding work! Looking forward to purchasing a pair when I get to that point with my 1965 Utiline resto. Still working on the body and floors at this point!

Doug i'll put your link up over on my site as well.
