67Dart, do you want to pay 300 bucks to have your photo bucket pics show up on a 3rd party website? Neither would I.

Sorry, I assume you're speaking about photobucket? Yes, they have an annoying if not extortionate and disfunctional website (want these annoying ads to go away? pay us...). If you're not referring to photobucket, then I'm not sure what you're referring to. This can be discussed elsewhere though, I'll stick to the catch cans in this thread.

Of course, just a jab at photobuckets BS policy, carry on. You can modify the Ebay can with an inlet pipe extension and possible a fuel safe matting stuffed in
there for a sort of baffle.

The 55 gallon catch system used a transparent lid, and some variants used transparent plastic boxes as well. It was interesting to watch how the suspended water behaved - there were a couple general rules.

1. If you had a baffle in the way of the airflow, the air could turn faster than the suspended droplets. So many of the droplets would slam into the baffle and stick to it.

2. Once the droplets landed on the baffle, they'd travel in the general direction of the airflow.

3. Whenever the baffles turned a corner, the droplets would shear off the baffle, pushed SOMEWHAT in the direction of the airflow but much more slowly. So they'd typically fall from gravity and the airflow would not always be enough to push them upward.

So the final design we came up with made the droplets stick to the outer pipe and then drop to the bottom of the barrel.
