I went to the Mopar National this year, and these guys torquestorm.com was there with the slant six supercharger setup on display, they weren't very helpful on answering questions. I currenty run a 225 with molnar rods and wisco pistons with a shaved head with the larger valves with about 12 to 1 compression. Question is: What do I need to do to covert to the supercharger setup on the bottom end, and even if it worth the money, has anyone had good luck with the supercharger setup. Torqstorm said with a good cam and pistions they have seen 500hp on the dyno, not sure if it was a selling gimmick or not. They couldn't tell me what pistons or cam to use. I would like to know from someone that's done this setup. Thanks guys.

No one has yet reported in as having used the TorqueStorm blower AFAIK. Generalities regarding any forced induction are lower compression ratio, strong pistons, good head gasket retention (head studs and probably o-rings at higher boost levels), electronic control of the ignition timing, and a bit wider lobe separation on the cam. Then you have the fuel delivery side which is the same as a blow-through turbo.

Because of the pistons you have you are going to have a hard time getting the compression ratio low enough to use pump gas. It has been done, but with an unmilled head and a rather thick copper head gasket.

500 hp with a slant isn't unachievable, but isn't easy. It will take a very good cylinder head, 15+ psi boost and every supporting actor playing their part well. I wouldn't build a 500 hp slant with a centrifugal blower as the mid-range torque and power is inferior to a turbocharger. Why you may ask?
Centrifugal blowers' output is a function of the square of their speed so that one driven to make 16 psi at 6000 RPM will only make 4 psi at 3000 RPM. A turbo will generally be making full boost at 50% of max engine speed.

thanks for the input I have a decision to make..do you know anybody selling the turbo setups. Sounds like this may be the way to go.

Turbos are something you will have to fabricate yourself, or pay someone else to design and build for you.. Especially for a slant 6.

There aren't any turbo setups per se. It's roll-your-own and is a relatively large undertaking. And the turbo you use should be guided by the intended use and power level of the vehicle.

What is TorqStorm using for a blower? We've had a couple guys do well with a Procharger type setup.

I was told that they are using the Aussie version they were showing at the nationals what the Aussies was using and they were trying to sell those units for them you can go to their website and check it out I torquestorm.com. if you know the phone numbers to those guys that had good success with the pro charger I would like to talk to them see what set up cam Pistons compression they used and what kind of performance they got for there Slant 6 thanks for all the input guys
