Anyone know of a good spark plug company for my HEI conversion? Magnacor has a $#!+ way of ordering, I emailed them about spark plugs on Tuesday, since all their orders are only email or fax. Really appreciate the help.

For most of my builds I buy an Accel 8mm kit for a 440 and buy a terminal and boot kit from summit and have a set of plug wire pliers... with the big block kit and extra terminals/boots
you can make 2 sets of 225 wires, and a longer coil wire if such is mounted to the fender... being that you may have a drool tube head, you will need to look at the proper end for the
plugs for terminal kits...

I used air-cooled VW seals for the drool tube head.

Just slip over standard plug wire ends.

I never had a big enough problem to bìtch about, getting hold of whatever Magnecor set I want, and the quality's consistently excellent.

Have you tried calling? Their phone number is on the first page of their catalog.

I have, their automated machine says only online or fax orders. Kinda of a joke.

Wow... things have changed there. It was years back but I had no issue over the phone answered by a live body. He had a killer Australian accent.

I'm a fan of diy'ing my wires as well. Buy magnecor's wire by the foot so you get all their super fancy noise rejection stuffs, then get MSD Professional series boot/terminal kits from summit. I like those as the metal gauge is heavy and also the part you crimp over the wire has indents that are formed so as to dig into the wire when pulled backwards so it doesn't slip out.

You can make any combo wire you want this way and make them on the car routing any which way you want. It will be a bit more expensive though - you'll have to invest in a crimper. There's the cheap squeeze in a vice / hammer type up to the hundreds of dollars range. A moderately priced unit that works well is Accel's ratcheting unit - 170036. That's the one I use.
