So, I'm working on a 71 Dart, but can't get fuel to the carb.

I replaced the fuel pump and attempted to draw fuel from a portable can. I've also disconnected the line to the carb, but don't see any fuel making it there. The line is clear of clogs.

No fuel when cranking engine.

So, I removed and reinstalled the new fuel pump to verify arm is making contact with Cam and... Still no fuel.

What am I missing? It is a brand new fuel pump from NAPA.

Have you confirmed that you have a clear line form the tank to the pump?
Paper fuel filters are known to get blocked by water in the filter. I've seen more than once, water in a paper filter, and it wouldn't flow gas.
I have known of old rubber fuel hose to get blocked by the inner wall peeling loose and stopping fuel flow.
Is your needle/seat stuck in the closed position?

Well, I may have cried wolf too soon...

It looks like I didn't have enough fuel in the temporary can to develop any head pressure.
With a full can it immediately filled the filter with fuel and started up when connected to carb.

I'm still planning to replace the tank and sending unit, but first I will need to diagnose the blue cloud!

You're welcome. "Blue cloud" at startup, then it clears, or is it constant?

Blue cloud when rpms higher than idle.
I'm hoping it's just valve seats leaking, or it could be sticking rings.

I started with the fuel pump and fresh oil and filter to confirm it would run, but it needs several more tune up items before I test drive it.

You could be correct. If this car sat for a long time, the problems may just go away with a tuneup and a little running time.
You might want to pull the plugs for a look-see. That could give you more information for a diagnosis.
