That sounds good Tom I am sure a lot of the racers are going to set 1/8 mile records include you. I guess the friday nite race would be a t/t or a gamblers race keep us posted. Are you staying at a motel if so which one close to the track. Thanks Ron parker

Here is a link to the track's website. Shows a hotel 10min from the track called the village inn. Says it has a shopping mall beside it so it may be a good place to park RV's.

http://www.farmingtonmotorsportspark.com/villageinn/

Also the flyer I received shows a Comfort Inn as the host hotel. 800-852-0035 - says to ask for Mopar Show discount.

Both of the above hotels are a good choice. Thanks for posting them. Check out the strips website. Both of these hotels are listed on the bottom of their homepage with links.

I read where is say's that the Village Inn is located next to a shopping mall. Norm this might be a good place to park overnight. When we go up I will try and look this over for you. Since we will have our RV going by then I will be looking for a place myself. :D

Heard from Gary Bruner last night and he is leaving at 4am Sat. morning to be a Farmington to set a new 1/8 mile record! Now that is dedication!

As for directions come in on I-40 to exit 180. Turn North on 180 and the track is approx. 8 miles on your right. The is the quickest and fastest way.

Looks like we'll have a posse coming from the Triangle area. My wife Christine, my race car collaborators Marc and Nathan, and a new .org user, Brian (bmimken) from Raleigh.

I will field 1 or possibly 2 Slant cars with Marc or Nathan driving the second. We are almost done with the race car, but still need to cut lexan windows for it and finish fuel cell and battery mounting - hope we can make it! Hopefully, Brian will run his car too.

Can we camp at the track? Christine and I are leaning towards getting there Friday eve.

Woohoo!

Lou

Check the previous post. It says no overnight camping at the track.

My mistake... One way or the other, I'll be there. Based on our progress today on Project V, it'll be in racing shape by Fri/Sat. Just a few small odds and ends to go, but pretty much ready now.

Lou,
That sounds great. I am hoping that maybe they will let me park in the parking lot overnight but I do not think they want anybody on the grounds overnight. They will be setting up the show and do not want a lot of people to relocate at 6:30 in the morning.

OK who else is planning on being at the Farm!

Sorry to hear about your mom. We will miss having you there. You should bum one of Dales 8 other cars and footbrake it for the points. :D

Good luck with you mom and the car car.

How much is the entry fee? Does the track let you bring in your own cooler with drinks/food? :?

I tried to find out this info on the track's website and came up empty.

Thanks, Brian

Yes you can bring your own cooler.

Entry in the slant six race is free as long as you enter a race class or a show class for $25. If you only want to enter the slant six race and nothing else then it will be $25.

2 days to go! Everyone drive safe and look forward to seeing all of you Saturday morning.

Seymour is coming tonight to visit with us and we plan to go out to dinner and do a little bench racing. Guess he wanted to get out of the Great White North far an extra day. :D
