Knoxville is coming up next week August 10th and 11th. Gates open Friday at 6:00 pm. Entry fee is $30.00. On Saturday not sure what time the gates open yet. Likely around 4:00 in the afternoon. Sometimes the track opens as early as 2:00 pm and as late as 4:00 or 5:00 pm based on how hot the weather is. Saturday entry will be $30.00. Gary is furnishing the trophies. The track will furnish the purse and it will be based on how many cars and spectators we have.

Roll Call please add your names if you are coming.

Meril B.

Still a maybe, but looking promising. New motor done, need to install. Then repair a rear end leak on the truck.

I asked Norm the other day if he was going to be running nitrous at Knoxville and they were unsure if they were going at that time.

Will Meril be driving or will Isaiah be making his Slant 6 debut?

It will be good to see Larry racing again.

What about Josh Woodie?

Dont know if it will be Meril or Isiaih. Gary just said Meril was going. I assume Meril will notify Josh.

I was about an hour away when Charlie called. Track is closed tonight. Too much rain lately. Hopefully tomorrow.

I checked into the motel. I’ll tow out to the track anyway. No sense in giving up those much needed 5 attendance points after driving 6 hours to get here.

Charlie said he, Meril and Isaiah were going to another track tonight.

Rain strikes again... same here.

Get some pics for proof of attendance.

Last time I was there it was so hot that camping it the van was not an option.

Have a great race everyone.

Knox update: Bad news there was an oil down in the Pro class that they worked on for a long time, then the timing lights were not working. The track called off the racing at 9:30. No Slant six rounds were run before the racing was called. Attendance points only for the weekend. That is a bummer for the guys traveling so far to race. Thanks Rob for the updates.

Yes is a bummer.

Will these 2 races be made up elsewhere?

We talked about that. We could potentially reschedule after Mason-Dixon. There is a race weekend the 27th of October we could earmark.

Trying to run multiple races at Clay City to make one up might be tricky since we are expecting so many cars (30-40).

I believe most racers present preferred the later make up here.

Dang, that is terrible. I agree we should not try to piggyback another race at Clay City. We will have our hands full with the big crowd. How will we fit everyone into the Pizza Hut??

I like the idea of another Knoxville race later in the fall, or making up one of the races at M-D.
