Thanks, Fopar. Could not remember Doug's last name. We had a fun visit!

Lou

The total purse was split between the remaining 5 when the rain hit. Thanks again Rob for a great promoter's job.

The Slant 6 Community really came together to make the Racer’s Reunion happen!

Thanks to everyone that contributed to the purse, recruited other racers and pitched in where needed!

Each of the remaining 5 racers after the third round received $560.

Rodney Hargis
Gary Bruner
Lukus Bruner
Jackie Everhardt III
Steve Adams

There were also some nice prizes given out that were donated or solicited by fellow racers.

Liz Mader helped draw numbers for the random drawing.

Rick Covalt donated 3 sets of nice plug wires that went to Joel Harris, Jackie Everhardt Jr. and Ryan Covalt.

John Metelko solicited a $25 gift card from Rock Auto that went to Meril Bruner who asked me, “What am I supposed to do with this?” I told him about this new thing called the internet that Isaiah could help him out with to get some parts.

Charlie Schmid solicited a gift certificate from Andre, owner of Edge Racing Converters for 4/5ths of the cost of one of their racing torque converters. Rick Covalt was the lucky winner on that one. Rick has been wanting to put a 4 speed in his Valiant, so I’ll let him post about his plans for the converter.

Thank you again to everyone that contributed to the biggest purse ever and made it possible to have our biggest event ever and our very first 6 round race!

Efforts are underway to finish up the last three rounds at the rescheduled Knoxville race 27 October.
Folks are pitching in to help Steve Adams make that long haul back up from Florida.

I don’t know of any other group of racers that comes together so well to support one another.

The Slanted Family ROCKS!! :D

This is very true, but with this gift that I won I will probably get a new convertor and leave the auto for the time being. After talking with Mark Goodman, Seymour, and Ron Hamby I think I know about what I need. Thanks to Charlie for contacting edge and getting them to support our race. This was greatly appreciated.

Rick
