Awesome!

Still running a 528 cam in it as well I'm assuming?

Yes. .528 lift on 1.6 rocker ratio minus 0.028" or so for lash.

Rick... not sure on that yet.

The last batch made were known for cam gear failures. I had one eat the pump gear in 800 miles. I did like the power though.

The early ones seemed fine. I still have mine, I may try it again on a drag only motor.

I think I replaced an old Racer Brown with the one I have. It made a ton more power.

Thanks for the input Greg and D.

I have one from about 1988. I was thinking about using it because I already have it :D
I'd love to hear it through open headers....

Well 235 60 14's are a bit too wide for the stock 69 5.5" wide rims. Due to this they wear the center of the tread out quite a bit faster than the outsides.

I also had some help changing the tires:

The 235's were ready to be changed.. car is not driven much but when it is its a roadtrip machine. Also old tires were produced in 2006.

Cool! I can't believe you can still get BFG Radial T/As with similar/same tread pattern as 25 yrs ago! I assume the rubber compound is better. I ran 245/60-14s on the first iteration of the 64 Dart 1996-2001 or so on 7" SBP aluminium rims. Worked pretty well.

Well I was beating on those tires.

As I work on building a road race corner carver type car..See Here:
I wanted to get into some events that are related to autoX, road racing or rallying.

Pittsburgh has a Vintage Grand Prix every year and as part of it they have a"countryside tour".

It's about 120 Miles of seasoned state routes, back roads, scenic byways and Mountain runs with twisty turns and elevation change. A stop for lunch and then an afternoon leg of the tour if you choose to drive in the afternoon heat for 60 more miles... I did not partake in that part. Oh and you kind of need a navigator to get through the route as they give you pace notes.

Typically they only take vintage European cars, and mustangs, although there was a corvair there.
It's a fund raiser so I thought my entrance fee is as good and the Porsche and MG guys.

Now I see why people love those 1500# MG's and Trumphs so much! There were 3 groups available: Brisk, Moderate and Stately. I chose Brisk, and Man it was a blast!

I was able to hang with the MG midget in front of me 'cept through some of the corners. It was fun. And this dart is not really setup for this stuff. The next one will be!
