I just got my Weber 2bbl 36/38 for Jeep Kit in the mail and I’m looking at how to install it vs the carter bbd that’s on there now on a super six manifold and I’m trying to figure out how to hook up the throttle linkage and it’s throwing me for a loop. Currently it’s an A833 4 speed in an 1983 d150. Is there another throttle bracket I need for this? Any pics of someone who has set one up on their manual transmission truck and how did you do it? Any help would be great! Thanks!

I am not well informed on the 83 throttle linkage, but my 76 has a cable style throttle cable. I put a 32/36 Weber on mine and it was super simple to hook up with the supplied adapt that came with the carb kit. I can try and take a picture if it would ever stop raining.

I was about to ask if you have the 32/36 or the 38/38, because it was my (wrong) assumption that the throttle shaft on the synchronous 38/38 points the same way as the one on the BBD, but then I figured I should do an image search.

Well I'll be damned.

(Sorry, I can't help with your actual question)

Yeah it’s a throttle cable style attachment as rain currently a super manifold and 2 bbl BBD carb. I bought the 38/38 Jeep kit from Weber per recommendations from others and currently it’s a rod style type hook up meant for a Jeep linkage and didn’t come with any other brackets. So I guess that’s why I was confused and no ones really posted much about the linkage on these carbs. I did order a Weber standard throttle cable bracket yesterday and also a bouchillon throttle cable bracket and figured I could return one or the other or both if neither worked and just fashion something if needed. If you have a pic, that would be absolutely AMAZING!

Sorry, I have been really busy with my house projects lately. I will snap a pic when I get home tonight and see if I can upload it.

I changed my throttle cable on my 82 D150, added one from a chevy, many brackets and adapters everywhere. Swapping to the Weber 38 was very simple.
Sorry, I dont have a picture.
