I'm new to this site, can anyone guide me? I have a 63, 225 Valiant. I suspect my carb could use a little TLC but rather than a re-build on that cute little thing, a super six sounds sweet! I plan a dual exhaust manifold with 2" pipes for starters, but (excuse my ignorance) exactly what should I be looking for at the bone yard, and what all will I need to grab. Also, what modifications will be needed??? Just point me in the right direction, I'm a man on a mission. (with a fairly modest budget!)
Thanks, Dan the reptile man.

You'll find the super six under the hood of 1977-1979 Volare and Aspen station wagons, along with some Dodge and Plymouth Trucks. Take a magnet with you, the first run of these were aluminum and ended up being porous/falls apart easily.
Check under the hood for the two-barrel carb on a slant-six, then use magnet to see if it is an iron manifold (if aluminum, the magnet won't stick). then grab everything:intake/exhaust manifold, carb, pie tin, kickdown linkage, accelerator pedal and linkage(does your '63 have the rod/mechanical linkage for the accelerator? if it does you'll need the cable pedal and linkage.) Somebody will have other ideas of what else is better to get. Should be a fairly easy find, I usually get the whole stack for about $40 in my area...

we just did this yesterday on the early a bodies the super six kick down linkage rods will not work due to the floor pan hitting the kick down rod on a auto, The best way is to find an early a body 63-66 v8 gas pedal assembly and buy the Bouchillon kick down cable and throttle but be ready to do some cutting where on the throttle cable bracket you will need a bench vice to get correct cuts. The Bouchillon is not a straight bolt and go needs a little work on the 2 barrels the kickdown throttle cable bracket kit is built for 4 barrels not direct bolt on for super six O.E carbs. I dont have any experience with lokar so i dunno about going that route
