Last years "Big Race" was Clay City, and this year its in Wilkesboro. We have 6 weeks to get ready to roll into Wilkesboro for our big race of the year.
This is going to be a first because we are going to run "Four" races in two days!!!!!!!! We will get our moneys worth this weekend. We have the two Wilkesboro races plus one rain out race from Mason Dixon and one rain out race from MotorMile that got rained out last weekend.

The Wilkesboro big purse race will again be sponsored by Tim Harrold also Rick will have the purse and winners medallion from Mason Dixon and Lou will have the purse and trophy's from MotorMile, altogether we will be racing for a lot of money and bragging rights.

Race details--- Friday July 19th gates open at 5:30 testing and qualifying start at 6:00.
Entry fee Friday-- pay $20.00 at the gate. This will cover both races on Friday. Pay me $10.00 per race Friday for a total
of $20.00.

Saturday July 20th. gates open at 2:00 with testing and qualifying to follow at 4:00.
Entry fee Saturday--- exactly the same as Friday. Your total entry to the track and me will be $80.00 for both days.

Note: the money to me will go into the year end Banquet and or points fund.

Don't miss our famous Slant Six car show at EMPIRE CHRYSLER DODGE RAM JEEP on Saturday morning at 9:30.

We will be serving food at the track on Saturday for all the Slant Six family, so come hungry.

Sounds good Lou. I am looking forward to having 4 races in one weekend. I think I will go over tomorrow night and enter the top sportsman to see how the new electromotive ignition is working. It has been a long time since I have entered anything but Slant six races. Those rail cars run almost dead on their dial in's and they have "00" lights most of the time. I probably will get trailered in the first round. We will see. I have won top before but it was a long time ago. One thing I have going for me is they will have to sit at the line 2 or more seconds before leaving, maybe a red light will bite them.

Ron

Sorry, folks. Won't make it, this year. I'm taking 2019 off to play catch up on other projects. Good luck to all.

I expect to have the 68 Barracuda back together by the third week of July,
but at this point in time I don't see a way to have enough seat time to even think about driving it cross country.
Sorry to miss Wilksboro, sure was good to me last year.

John why don't you get your seat time in the heat of battle? Or you could always enter the truck.. Dennis I didn't put you name on here because I thought earlier this year you were set to go to a race near you. If that isn't the case we definitely want you to come on down. I don't recall you being here. so now would be a good time to do it.

Ron
