That looks super fun. We should storm it next year with 4-6 corner carvin' A-bodies. Do they allow modern tires??

An article / video posted in the local paper about the event:
https://triblive.com/local/westmoreland ... nty-roads/

Maybe with a few well built slant cars there can be more of us to go on an event like this.

I had another fun weekend with the '69 Dart, I took this car for no good reason except that the '64 Grüne Hölle Dart is Broken. :-(

I was headed to Vintage Restorations Ltd, in Union Bridge, MD for their Open House / Car show.
My Friend's family owns the shop and their primary business in in vintage British / imported cars, but All makes and models are welcome.

I decided to take US 40 From About Uniontown, PA to Hagerstown, MD as I had some business to attend to in Waynesboro, PA before heading to the show.
Here is the Route:

I was taking the Old Alignment of US40 / National Road through Maryland which is signed a few different ways..
It may be known / signed as:
US 40
US 40 ALT
US 40 Scenic
MD 144

Much Of the Route Runs Parallel to I 68 and I70 in Maryland, and It Goes up and down over the ridges instead of cutting through the mountain like the interstate near it.

Some Highlights:
Somewhere in western Maryland During the blue Hour:

Got to the Show, and for a small show it was fantastic with an eclectic mix of cars and people.

Thanks Rick, yep I bet you do!

I met a nice guy in the woods that you might have known from your 2 wheel days.
He had a newer ktm street trail bike.

Didn't catch his name..

I started a bit of tuning on this car again.

I believe I need to examine the cam degreeing as I did that when I was ~24 years old. The car Sucks off idle and I believe the cam degree and carb tuning are suspect. I fiddled with the idle screws and got the car to idle better / properly when it is at operating temp.

I am pretty sure the primary circuit/jetting was balls rich and I am futzing with rod and jet combinations to get it dialed in better. I ordered a few new metering rods that I did not yet have in my carter tuning set. It is also likely that the Secondary is lean, but I do not know for sure without an O2 Gauge.

I have exhaust cutouts and caps on this car. I am going to drill and weld a bung to one of the caps and install a temporary 02 gauge to help precisely dial the carb to as close as I can get. I have never done that with this engine and now after driving my '64 a bunch I can feel that it needs this attention.

I should check the valve lash settings too and play around there to get the driveability better.

In other news... Putting miles on it visiting family around the county and going to car shows so Ava can $ell her jewelry.
She makes necklaces, bracelets, rings, and custom keychains too!

Thanks Slantzilla!

Martin 2007 was when I met you, bought the rear end that is in the Ruster, and went to the WPC Museum on the way home with my Dad.

That was a big trip for us at the time.
I dont think I ever stopped enjoying the car... Just was not posting about it.

Took the girls for ice cream Saturday nite..
I had the only '69 Dart there. :D
