Yes But if you look into the listing or on speedway's site it's shipped from the manufacturer... The manufacture has 0 of them . :-(

It's raining so I won't be able to continue the installation, but a few things for today...

The holes in the plate weren't drilled big enough for the starter bolts/studs...

They didn't include any bolts to mount the starter...but included a sleeve to make a 3/8" bolt a 7/16" bolt...

A denso mini starter mounted in the spot will come into conflict with the flange on a dual dual rear manifold... given the
location, the super duper late hemi starter may slide under the flange.

Will recheck when I change to headers....

The ball stud bracket for the Z-bar off the stock bell fits the new QT bracket...will have to see if it will fit under the stock
bell to block "wing"....


If it dries out tomorrow we will see if it fits in the car.

Mild day today and I had a kid to help with it....

It does fit in the 67-76 A-body just like a small block bell would. I added some pictures that are hard to discern from the
top between the block and fire wall...there is plenty of room to spare... that being said, the top of the bell and the starter pocket
would be very tight on a 63-66 without use of the magic wangenhammer...

As I get time I will get everything bolted up and swap to headers and then we can see how things go...

I will say a couple things to note:

The new TOB from Mccleod was pretty nice, but the retaining springs were really stiff and hard to get them
engaged onto the fork... also the lack of the access from the underside made things harder to line up the Tranny
input shaft, TOB and make the stab...

I did have to do a bit more grinding on the bearing retainer hole as it's a smidge too tight for the stock 5.125 IBR...

If you use the stock bolts for the fork bracket, you will have to grind about 1/8" off of them to get them flat with
the mounting plate on the bell... Make sure you have shorter bolts as the stock tranny to bell bolts are a bit long and
can run into interference when they hit bottom on the bell body, as the plate isn't as thick/deep as the stock bell.

Last item on the list, the lower edge of the bell hangs lower than the standard bell or flywheel with no inspection plate...

It will get hung up on the cross link during installation...this can be corrected by moving the crosslink out of the way
by steering/rotating your tires to one side or the other.

I will also note here that while seeing which of my last 2 A-833 OD's I would use, I found that I had also broke the
hurst shifter itself, the pivot/gate will not move out of 3/OD. So I will have a winter project to see what is bent for the
shifter to not pivot side to side.

I got the crossmember in place, shifter and linkage installed, and driveline is now in place.

I have added 2 more pics to the collection from below, lots of room on my 76 for the bell to fit when everything is sitting right...fork even
looks like it's where it should be....

Loads more to go...

If I can get anything to cooperate...

I had to buzz a couple of the plate holes that were still too tight to get a 7/16" bolt to the bell into... about the time I finished that, I was going to install the engine to bell wing bracket
and noticed that the bell bolts looked fine...but then I compared the bracket they provided for the hydro cylinder or the Z-bar pivot... and they have a 3rd hole in the bell that is slightly
out of line with the lower bracket hole... I pulled out of my stockpile the wings brackets for the early 60's 11" truck bell, the slightly smaller A904 bracket, and compared everything and
that other hole doesn't jive with anything stock... so you get to chose no reinforcement wing, or no bracket (or another hour lost cut and mig their bracket...)...

Even if you plugged the thing in with the stock flywheel. etc... someone would still have a days worth of fitting and fabrication to correct this stuff anyway...and you would still have to run to the hardware store to pick up some missing bolts that weren't in the sealed packs that came with the bell...

(While I was under the car working on the e-brake cable and installing more bolts...I noticed that the SFI cert sticker on the bell is placed centerline of the bell and engine...as soon as the back of the bell slid over the crosslink on the way in, it wiped out the sticker... gotta love the planning on that... they should have put it over by the fork hole so it could be inspected easily from the drivers side of the car...and not succumb to engine swap issues...)

Once I get this sorted out, maybe I can install the linkage, then work on something fun like getting other stuff hooked up that would allow the engine to run.......

I think it's about time for a barleypop and bedtime...

Just an idea but what if one of you with the QT bell made a CAD file of the block plate. Then you could copy the slant bolt pattern on to a plate a little larger than the original. Bolt it to an engine, bolt a small or big block bell to a trans, stab the trans into the pilot, mark and drill the bell pattern on the plate. Am I wrong here with my thinking?

Had some time today to move stuff around...added 2 new pictures to the set....

Found that the QT bracket doesn't quite line up with the block to bell brace attachment holes. On top of it the bracket wouldn't line up
the ballstud to be in direct line with the Z-bar ballstud in the fender...so after some headscratching, swearing, etc... I pulled out a piece
of heavy gauge perforated angle and decided to make a mock up bracket that would work better and maintain alignment...just from wedging
the Z-bar in place and checking level and alignment it looks like the clutch pedal linkage and fork rod will line up fine once this item is resolved.
If the bracket works, the end user will need to fabricate a similar bracket and obtain another fender ball stud to make the deal.

Tomorrow I'm going to mock it up and check it before assembling it with loc-tite.

I also have been getting the rest of the engine accessories installed. The last 2 items I need to work on is the drivers side alternator bracket, and the fat-pak/headers
kick stand....

Once I get that squared away, I will need to get the exhaust piped and then we will be game on to see if this will really work...

Just been trolling along here learning something. Have a 64 Dart Slant 225 4 speed. So not sure I'll be able to add a Supercharger to a built motor if I can't get a good strong clutch package together. Therein lies the dilemma .

I'll go back to being a fly on the wall, thanks guys. Keep at it please. There may be hope for a guy wanting 400hp out of a Slant[/color]

not according to QT,, their web page shows that housing as discontinued.
I called and confirmed that it is discontinued with both the QT Sales and Tech Help.

I explained to the Tech person again, that the reason the RM-7072 did not sell is because it is set up for the 122 tooth flywheel, for which there are no off the shelf performance clutches.
If the RM-7072 had been set up to use a 130 T flywheel, folks would have bought them.

Perhaps if others from this forum would also call QT and express that thought they would re instate the Slant Six bell accommodating the 130 T flywheel.

Interesting. I wonder why the sellers began re-listing them. Probably an oversight.

I've had some time on my hands while I've been waiting for Jennifer Aniston to return my calls...so I went ahead and modded my QT for the 130T flywheel. It's in the paint booth right now but I'll post a pic later today.

For QT, this mod would be 'free' - they could simply changed their burn table program to add a little meat the flange then drill & tap the two holes out a bit.
