Finally got her up and running. Tapping valves lead me to do a adjustment (needed it anyway). Short story. When I adjust them they don’t stay in tolerance. Engine is warm. I set them and then it changes either looser or tighter. Is this a bent pushrod or something else?
Oh and thanks Dan for the HEI write up and heavy duty charging system upgrade!!

Doubtful but your adjusting screw threads could be too loose. It's odd for them to tighten, though.

Thanks Dan! Got it done. Runs a little rough still but it has been setting for 7 months :/
