This is a wagon question, though if you have the owners manual, you can answer my question. Would someone please inform me where the power rear window dash switch for wagons so equipped is supposed to be located?

Doug Dutra would probably know.

While my '64 FSM has information and a figure for physically removing & replacing the tailgate and tailgate glass, I can't find anything specifically about the switch location. On the Dart station wagon body wiring diagram, the wiring from the tailgate window motor goes to a connector labeled "TO TAIL GATE WINDOW LIFT SWITCH WIRING (ON INSTRUMENT PANEL)." But I can't find this on the instrument panel diagram. No pictures either.

The "Electric Window Lift" section starts with the following statement: "A master switch group, on the left front door, operates all the windows and the individual switches are located on their respective doors. The circuit breaker is above the left front cowl panel." But that section doesn't mention the tailgate window, and it seems pretty clear that the switch you're looking for is on the instrument panel rather than the door.

Is there a different section in the manual where this might be located?

The pic in the manual stinks, but it is in my sig link and you can look at it there.

All they show is the knob itself in a closeup, but you can see it is on a smooth spot on the dash which means it can only be next to the heater controls. Item "J" on the pic of the page with the dash layout.

Luckily my owners manual is pretty much mint, hope it is of some help.

Brandon

I can send you a picture of the switch in a '65 Valiant wagon if you want it.
