Got the steel mid plate cut out today.
Tomorrow I start notching the tube to move the engine back.
Not sure why Greg has so much weight hiding all around his car.

After I cut the chebbie mid plate out, notched the mid plate tube, it went together.
I still have a ton to do, but good clearance on the dampner, mid plate goes between the frame rails and engine sits good.
It was a good day.

Absolutely awesome Stan!!! :D :D Guess we should start a "Weber Gang" Can't wait to see it run!

So you are going with a liberty modified 833? Are you getting the gears face plated?

Rick, Weber gang sounds good to me, however I am on the long learning list for sure.

Liberty is putting steel reinforcements in my main case.
Can't spring for the faceplating yet, need to get it on the track first.
Still have some pricey parts to buy still.

Thanks for the reads and comments, long way to go...…...

Making the engine mount plate. Found a source for 6061 aluminum. Started making the template for the waterpump, timing cover and frame tabs.

Template 3, I think this will work. I will see about some lightning holes after it's going together and everything is mounted.

That looks great Stan!
Question: Is there an electric water pump that works for the slant 6?

John

John, always great to hear from you friend, I hope you all are doing well.

I don't know of one. Maybe I can talk Mark Goodman into making some for all the slant racers!
But he is a concrete man, so he doesn't need one.
I guess I will be running the old school dc motor and geared belt.
