I'm going to guess any hope for something at 41 is gone. They have way too many events to make up if they are even allowed to open. They applied for a private test permit again, and again were smacked down by the county.

Back of the Dragon and/or Tail of the Dragon in late June or July?? Bet we could have 4-5 Slanters come together. Talked with Brian M the other day and he is pulling his engine to fix a couple things, then Sixy Beast will be ready.

I'm still watching the Countryside tour near Pitt. Not cancelled yet...

Lou
Sounds Good to me.

I might have to bring Ava too, for one of the dragon events. I probably could even get there in late may as our vacation plans got blasted too. I thinks a lot of the pre organised stuff will be disrupted until at least July.
I hope the Pittsburgh Stuff does not get get cancelled.
Starting to get jamming on the Grüne Hölle again tomorrow... XJ is off the rack so I **could** even have the green car for a July event, but no promises.
If not the 69 Hyperpak car will be plenty of fun too.

Greg

That's good to hear, Lukus. Thanks for the heads up.

I just learned that Elk Creek (VA) dragway is fixin' to open when VA relaxes restrictions, AND that my buddy Steve Groseclose is running their schedule. So, if we want to do a make-up race in VA later in the season, that should be possible.

Slant on,
Lou

Maryland still has no plans to open so Mason Dixon is closed. It may also be the closing of the track permanently if they do not get to open soon. All tracks were struggling to stay afloat as it was. With being shut down and not having an end anywhere in site, it may be the last straw. See the web site if you are interested in calling and asking the officials to start letting the tracks open for racing.

Thanks for the heads up, Rick. I saw that statement on the M-D site - dang... The governor will I'm sure be consulting trends in infection/death rates continuously in order to make an informed decision. This just got more real for me, as my 83 yr old Dad went in for some heart/lung difficulties today and tested positive for COVID-19. We'll see what happens.

Hopefully your Dad gets better soon Lou.
This stuff is crazy. There's already 4 tracks for sale in Illinois, and even the future of RT 66 is in doubt.

The bright side is Coles County sued and got permission to run limited test and tunes. They were very close to being out of business.

41 in Indiana had a permit to run their Big Bucks race this coming weekend, but a nearby dirt track had the same prrmit for last Friday and the State Police barricaded the road in to the track. 41 has postponed indefinitely now.

No, Norm has been gone for many years. Bill and Jimmy Hupke bought it 4 years ago I think.

Mason Dixon is beginning plans to slowly open up for test sessions with bunches of restrictions.Possibly Memorial day weekend. But at least it is start. No word on rescheduling anything

Also looked at Wilkesboro's site and did not see anything about opening, but it did say that Phil had a stroke back in April! :( :( So that is not good.

I edited the schedule above to include the new MoKan dates (May 29-30).

Yep, looks like Mason-Dixon will open for population-limited testing in the next week or two...
