looking at a V8 and Slant 6 crossmember from a 64 valiant last year, I couldnt see any differences. the slant mounts would bolt right into the v8 crossmember but for the slightest misalignment. is there a difference? is only some years?
64-66 only used one K-member as far as engine mounting is concerned. You can swap from a Slant to a V-8 by changing motor mounts and brackets (and drag link).
is this true for the 62 as well? i also cant discern any differences between the 64 motor mounts any my 62 motor mounts, but i also havent removed my motor mounts from the car.

The V-8 was never offered in a '62. I am not sure if the '64 mounts work on the '62 K-frame.

Wouldn't you also have to change or remove the heater to get a V8 in a '62?

I asked more to satiate my curiosity. its not a swap I am planning. eventually I want to swap in a new pentastar v6
