I have found two different brand connecting rod bearings that are both listed as having width 0.720", but from the coloration on the rods, it seems the original bearings may have been closer to 1". Is that an illusion? (Unfortunately I didn't save the old bearings.)

The narrow bearings are for the cast crank engines. The wide ones are the forged crank.

Dang, I'm glad I asked. I thought the crankshaft looked cast, but I should have realized it would be forged since it's a 1974 engine. I wish I had questioned my choice before ordering! :-)
