Im trying to kick over my slant, it aint working.....

I can kick it over and it will run but i have ZERO oil pressure, I have the remote oiling system and poured about a quart of oil down the steelbraid line to create a seal in the oil pump and draw it oput of the pan and thus have pressure.

I even went as far as to run the engine for a full minute (dont worry the engine is lubed to hell with Isky Rev Lube) I still cant get pressure. Everything on this motor is new. Oil and Fuel pumps, bearings, pistons, cam.

What can you slanters advise me on?

Pete

I'll check on the oil pressure gauge... since everything else is new. Your oil pump bulb is brand new? your oil pump is refurbished or new? does it has the correct tension spring? do you have some peppy adds such as cam upgrade? As I said, check on the gauge first.... GOOD LUCK! :D

I hope not, but....

Sump not sealing and sucking air?

Did you fill the oil filter (as much as possible w/o making a mess installing it) with oil?

Did you pack the oil pump with vaseline/assembly lube/other?

Is the O ring on the oil pump cover on "straight" or present?

Oil pump gear still on the oil pump shaft?

Just some ideas. :?

I forgot, who made your cam? I'm just a bit paranoid since some blanks may not have the 'right holes' in them, and you checked to make sure the bearing holes were lined up before installing the cam?
