What type of cam and lifter (Hydraulic or Mechanical) did the 79 Slant Six come with ?

Hydraulic lifters were not introduced until the the early 80's so your's has a mechanical cam. I never really liked the Hydraulic lifters all that much. My uncle has a 82 D-150 and it floats the lifters at @ 4000 RPM. so flooring it pass somebody is suicide
