I drove my son's 80 D150 step side, to work today. It is impossible to tell how fast you're going/ no tach, and the speedo needle bounces wildly, any time travel speed goes over 40 MPH. I know I'm going a steady speed but it bounces off the stop about 82 MPH down to about 50 MPH and I hear a "ding"-"Ding"- coming from that area, as it does its crazy bounce. I've had this in the past, and gone to a boneyard and got a replacement/ but 79-80 Dodge trucks are getting hard to find any more. (went thru a crazy wild goose chase to find a good gas tank for it, and the dash cluster had already been "pirated" from the truck that I finally found a gas tank from)
There used to be places that would rebuild gauges and speedometer heads in particular...… any of them still doing business? Id like to pull this one and send it out for repair.

I used Deluxe Speedometer to rebuild the speedo heads on both the 83 D150 and the 68 Barracuda.
Reasonable turn around time and less expensive than a couple of other shops that I had called.

Ok thanks.
There used to be a "speedometer and clock" place in Chicago somewhere, my dad used to talk about but since he has left us in '98 it's kinda hard to ask him about it.....
