Ram let me know that a reduced price for a group buy will happen. I am not sure what the breakdown is, but we will have a conversation next Tuesday.
Things to ask about:
Price for steel vs Aluminum
Price breakdown for units sold
When can they start and when will they ship
Will they want one made and verified before they make the rest of them

Mike tells me they are coming up on their slow time in the clutch building industry. I guess there aren’t many clutches being given as Christmas presents. I would love to get a clutch for Christmas!

If you could ask about a 18 spline Mopar disc that would be appreciated. Ryan's 5 speed going into is Dart has the hemi spline. This would be a very nice setup for that. Thanks for all your work!

I spoke wit Doug Dutra this evening and he brought up another possible issue. The thicker flywheel could interfere with the bellhousing. Doug has agreed to send a flywheel and a bellhousing to Ram. Thanks again Doug!

Hi Rick,
I checked their site and don’t see an 18 spline listed for the Force 9.5, but I would bet they would be able to make one. I will add that question to the list and hopefully have an answer for you on Tuesday.
It looks like we have 8 yes or interested at this point. I posted on ForABodiesOnly and hope to get some interest there as well. Mike at Ram seems very interested in this project and wants to help us out. He suggested the discount before I asked.

Yes the bell housing fitment is a consideration.

Good thing to consider that before we order a bunch of them.

Yes a special thanks to Ram for working with you on this. What would be an even bigger seller would be if they just could make a good Diaphragm PP, that would fit a stock flywheel, that would hold up to some abuse in our cars. They would have he corner on the market for sure.

Good work AndyZ

Hopefully they (Ram) can make it a part # in their catalog so folks can buy it again in the future someday.

This will be part of their future product line. They did a custom build for a customer who has a 273 and that is still available although maybe not found during a search.
As far as a pressure plate, I can ask. The dual clutch is overkill for a stock or mild setup for sure, but still will be next to impossible to break, so a nasty burnout a week and you will still have a clutch after a long while.
I did ask about a single clutch but when I got the price for the flywheel with a double clutch, I was ok with it. I can still ask about it on Tuesday.

Questions:

1) Price for steel vs Aluminum
2) Price breakdown for units sold
3) When can they start and when will they ship?
4) Will they want one made and verified before they make the rest of them? I will be the guinea pig.
5) Can they make a18 spline plate for this setup?
6) can they make just a pressure plate and single disc setup?
7) Will this be part of their catalog for future buyers?

I just created a poll http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic ... 20&t=65297 for those who want this setup and which options. I haven’t used polling before so I don’t know if it is anonymous or not. Please go there and fill it out if you really want one of these. I can’t imagine anyone wouldn’t want one but maybe they are too much $ during these times. I certainly get it. Ram is approaching their slow time of year so we need to hit them up soon and get in their production queue ASAP.

This for the 122 tooth flywheel?
Hi Slantzilla. Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, this is for the 122 tooth flywheel.

This is going to be a really sweet setup. So much better than what is available now if you are running any additional power over stock or just like to burn up the street or strip more than a few times before replacement. I have been holding off on putting in a supercharger I mocked up 15 years ago on my car but this is going to make it possible.
