I would like to add half a leaf to the front of my spring pacs to add a little rigididty to help reduce axle wrap and wheel hop. I have 4 complete springs and would like suggestions on how long a spring I would need to add.
should I add a couple short ones to the bottom?
one long one to the top?

Take the main leaves out of a spare set, cut the front eye off as close to the front as possible, cut off the rear eye so it splits the difference between the main leaf and the next lower, then add them in right below the main leaf on your car.
The section between the front eye and the front of the next leaf is the weakest area, most prone to wrapping (and breaking), so doubling this area strengthens this crucial section. That's why SS springs have the lower leaves biased toward the front.
