GAH! Lemme fix that. As others have pointed out, at least one printed source lists a 9.68" deck height for the 170, but the correct figure is 9.08", as listed in Doug's book. My block comes in at 9.06".

I'm now looking at Silv-O-Lite 1287-5MM pistons (3.465" bore, 1.570" wrist-pin height). More measuring and figuring to do...
